ERP North encourages young people towards career development in partnership with vocational schools

At the beginning of the new school year Elektrodistribuenie Sever launched a paid program “Young Electrician” aimed at students from profiled high schools who are about to graduate in 2020. The program, which the company implements for the second year, is focused on starting a professional career from secondary education.

In support of its vision of sustainable social and economic activity of young people, in addition to acquiring practical knowledge and skills under the expert guidance of experienced professionals, the company will also offer financial remuneration for the duration of the program. Graduates will not only be able to report their participation as a training practice in the specialty they are studying, but they will also get the opportunity to realize in the company. As a result of last year's stage of the initiative in the two specialized secondary schools in Varna — Vocational High School of Electrical Engineering and Varna Maritime High School “St. Nikolay the Miracle Worker” — five of the eight successfully passed trainees received offers for a permanent position in the company.

The program “Young electrician” has a duration of 40 hours of study per month, distributed in pre-approved schedules, adapted to the learning process in high schools. Applications will be accepted throughout the academic year from October 2019 to May 2020 inclusive. The company will respect the wishes of each student who applied to the relevant regional structures of ERP North in Varna, Ruse, Razgrad, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Gabrovo.

With this and other similar initiatives, the electricity distribution company will continue to actively search for young and motivated people who have chosen the electrician profession, and strengthen its cooperation with profiled electrical engineering schools to guarantee continuity in the preparation of professional personnel in the energy sector.
