Eco-design has become a sustainable trend in recent years. It is distinguished by the care of the environment, the judicious use and reuse of resources and, last but not least, the transformation of the home into a natural corner.

If you also want to create such a radiance in your home, but you do not have the opportunity and time to do major repairs, do not be alarmed. In this article, we have prepared for you easy eco-style furniture ideas that you can implement without unnecessary effort.

Choose environmentally friendly materials

The choice of environmentally friendly building materials is decisive. Bet on products made from renewable resources such as bamboo, cork or recycled wood for floors, cabinets and furniture.

Eco-friendly flooring

While it might not initially come to mind when looking for more eco-friendly flooring, consider bamboo ones. Bamboo is a highly renewable natural resource that is also extremely durable and very resistant to moisture.

Likewise, you can help with forest conservation by replacing the wooden floor with recycled composite decking. Made from recycled plastic, the surface of this flooring looks natural and is great for both outdoor and indoor use.

If, on the other hand, you want to be in absolute harmony with nature, then completely exclude the idea of a wooden floor. Instead, opt for a polished concrete floor. Thus, you will make an ecological and sustainable choice, and you will give your home a modern and attractive atmosphere.

Use water-based paints

When repainting your apartment, if possible, choose water-based paints. Most paints that are used in homes are oil-based and not entirely environmentally friendly. Water-based paints contain natural pigments, offer a wide variety of colors and are very aesthetic.

Solid wood furniture

Solid wood furniture can be a focal element in any furnishings inspired by the eco-style. Fans of this type of furniture highly appreciate their quality and durability over time, which makes them also an excellent solution in terms of financial investment. Last but not least, this furniture has an individual look, since each tree is unique and unrepeatable. It is worth thinking about a beautiful wooden table in the center of your living room, and why not modular furniture, which will greatly facilitate you in combining the overall interior.

Incorporate more natural fabrics into the furniture

Natural fabrics, such as linen and cotton, for example, are extremely popular. Not only because of its stylish appearance, but also because of its qualities — resistance, breathability and strength. They fit wonderfully into the eco-style, so it's worth experimenting with them. You can put linen sheets in the bedroom or a beautiful tablecloth made of natural fabric on the dining table. Dining mats and cloth napkins are also a practical and beautiful decoration for the kitchen, with which you will create coziness, but also impress your guests.

More green plants

Eco style allows you to literally bring nature into your home. And what better way to do it than by putting in real green plants. All kinds of plants — from flowering, through cacti, to creeping plants in flower beds that hang from the ceiling. You can turn your living room into a modern and vibrant jungle. If growing plants is not your strength, you may opt for dry arrangements or even artificial flowers.

Use natural cleansers

The cleaners you prefer to use probably clean well and smell great, but the truth is that once they get into the sewer, they cause quite a bit of damage to the environment. It takes a lot of effort and energy to purify water that has been in contact with chemical cleaning solutions.

Fortunately, there are quite a few alternative solutions. You can use environmentally friendly cleaners that are not harmful to the environment, cost significantly less and do the same job. Such are, for example, lemon juice, vinegar and baking soda. They can keep the home clean without polluting the environment.
