Electrodistribution North urges heightened vigilance due to expected intense storms in Northeastern Bulgaria

According to NIMH data, a dynamic meteorological situation is expected in Northeastern Bulgaria in the coming days. Forecasts indicate intense rainfall, thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, and conditions for hail in isolated areas.
Such weather phenomena often create conditions for failures in the electricity distribution network, especially on overhead power lines. Electrodistribution North urges its customers and all citizens to exercise heightened caution and adhere to basic safety rules to prevent electrical accidents.
The company reminds:
• During a storm, stay away from electrical poles, wires, transformer substations, and other electricity distribution network equipment;
• If you notice a broken wire, do not approach closer than 10 meters and immediately report it by calling 0700 161 61 or 112;
• Do not touch metal fences, railings, or other metal structures near a fault;
• During a thunderstorm, it is advisable to unplug household appliances to protect them from power surges.
Electrodistribution North's teams are ready to respond to emergency situations. In complex situations with numerous reports, temporary difficulties may occur when connecting to the company's call center.
Up-to-date information on the status of the electricity distribution network will be regularly published on Electrodistribution North's website.
