ENERGO-PRO continues to install protective equipment for migratory birds on overhead power lines
Every year, ENERGO-PRO teams take measures to secure sections of the electrical network that are most preferred for landing by migratory birds during their migration. These areas are identified from their own experience, as well as in cooperation with conservation organizations. The measures are carried out in parallel with the activities related to inspections and inspections of the technical condition of the electricity distribution network in the territory of North-East Bulgaria.
Each season, birds choose different places to form their migratory flocks, and this makes it difficult to accurately determine the sections of the net that need to be secured. Nevertheless, ENERGO-PRO continues its actions in the direction of securing the facilities in the area of the alleged flyover routes.
The placement of protective equipment protects the life of birds and at the same time reduces the possibility of interference and accidents on the facilities from the network, which would cause inconvenience to a large number of the company's customers.
Last week, the company's teams installed bird traps in the area of Novakovo 2 overhead power line near the town of Aksakovo, which fulfilled a prescription of RIOSV — Varna.
On August 22, ENERGO-PRO specialists carried out installation of sets of protective insulation (protective sleeves) on the facilities of the medium-voltage power distribution network in the area of the village of Yarebichna, Varna region. The cuff is another means of protecting migratory birds, made of a special insulating material. Its central part covers the insulators and part of the wires. The protective equipment put in place made another section of the power grid safe and hospitable for migratory flocks.
In recent years, ENERGO-PRO has installed more than 3,300 bird protection devices and about 280 stork nest protection platforms. The installation of such protective equipment continues in other regions of North-Eastern Bulgaria.
