ENERGO-PRO to supply green energy for Agropolychim's low-carbon fertilizer production
ENERGO-PRO Energy Services has launched a partnership to supply 100% green energy, which will support the production of low-carbon mineral fertilizers in Bulgaria and the region. The collaboration is part of both companies' shared vision to accelerate industrial decarbonization and promote sustainable agriculture.
The energy company will provide electricity from renewable sources for Agropolychim's production facilities in Devnya. The green energy will support the production of fertilizers based on "blue" ammonia as a primary raw material.
Agropolychim is a leading producer of nitrogen fertilizers in Southeast Europe and a leader in the production of phosphate fertilizers on the Balkan Peninsula, with ammonium nitrate being the most widely used fertilizer for nitrogen crop nutrition.
Blue ammonia is produced from natural gas using special technologies to capture and store carbon emissions. This allows Agropolychim to use a raw material with a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to conventionally produced ammonia.

The partnership between ENERGO-PRO and Agropolychim is another step toward building a more competitive and sustainable industry in Bulgaria, where renewable energy and low-carbon production processes go hand in hand.
