In connection with the cooling of the weather after the onset of autumn and the likelihood of an increase in electricity consumption ENERGO-PRO continues to advise its customers on how to use some of the electrical appliances in the household wisely.

Many household appliances are serious consumers of electricity, but by taking into account the duration of operation and the time of their use, we could reduce our electricity bills. For example, water heaters consume an average of 200 kWh per month. But if you apply some simple rules, the amount spent on hot water can be reduced by 30%.

Here are some effective ways that, when applied daily, will lead to significant savings:

Use the water heater at night rate. Water heaters with modern thermal insulation and a capacity of more than 80 l. after night heating retain the heat of the water the next day. Using energy at night will reduce your electricity bill, as the tariff is then lower. In the winter period, the night tariff is valid from 22:00 to 6:00, and in the summer - from 23:00 to 7:00 p.m.Do not keep the water heater constantly turned on. After heating and turning itself off, the appliance does not constantly consume current for heating. But it will continue to turn on and off to maintain a temperature that you may not need.Experiment with lowering the temperature of the water heater. For most household needs, a temperature of 60° C is more than sufficient.Check the sprinkler of your shower and shower-headset - both saving water and electricity - respectively - depends on their good working. The washing machine is another major consumer of electrical energy in the home. Use it at its full capacity, because if it is partially charged for the same energy it will wash less clothes. Run a washing machine if possible late in the evening. In this case, the function delayed start of the appliance is convenient.Whenever possible, use programs of the washing machine with lower temperatures. 85% of the electricity when starting the washing machine is spent on heating the water. Clothes that are not heavily soiled can also be washed well at 40° degrees.Follow the manufacturer's instructions when starting the washing machine. Instructions under different brands for seemingly identical operations are very different. In the operating instructions of your washing machine, it is written for each program what the recommended volume of laundry is and what amount of detergent to use. Compliance with them guarantees high-quality and efficient operation of the unit. This rule applies to the use of all electrical appliances. So you save funds not only on your electricity bills, but also on premature repairs.Pre-washing is necessary only for heavily soiled clothes. If you have smaller things for separate washing, choose the short program, but be careful: when using the short program, twice as much electricity and water are consumed than if a standard cycle is used once. Before moving all the washed laundry in the dryer, let it spin well in the centrifuge (preferably 1200 revolutions, but a minimum of 800 revolutions per minute). This saves on the duration of operation of the appliance.Put all the laundry in the dryer. If you put the entire amount of laundry twice in the dryer, you will consume about 30% more electricity. After each drying, clean the air filter (powder mass sieve) to prevent the drying time from being extended.
