ERP North discussed key measures for the development of the power distribution network with the regional administrations in Razgrad and Dobrich
ERP North is continuing its series of working meetings with regional governors in Northeast Bulgaria, focused on coordinating activities for maintaining the power distribution network, limiting outages, and increasing the reliability of power supply.
In Razgrad, Atanas Kolev and Mario Marinov from the company's Management Board held a working meeting with the regional governor, during which they discussed the development of the power distribution network, power supply quality, the connection of new users, and the need for better coordination between ERP North and the municipalities when implementing infrastructure projects.
The company representatives presented investments for network modernization in the region, including the replacement of overhead power lines with insulated conductors, as well as the construction of new, higher-capacity facilities in the settlements of Radingrad, Rakovski, and Veselina. They also discussed opportunities for developing the underground cable network, conditions for connecting new sites, and measures to limit damage to agricultural land during repair work. Special attention was paid to the need to remove individual hazardous trees located outside the power line easement zones, with discussions held on the possibilities for coordinated action between ERP North, the regional administration, and forestry authorities.
In Dobrich, the company's management met with Regional Governor Ruslan Tomov and his deputy Abil Abil. A key focus of the conversation was the maintenance of clearings along overhead power lines—a vital preventive measure for limiting outages and reducing fire risks. ERP North representatives reported that the clearing of easement zones along their power lines has been completed. To date, over 3,400 hazardous trees have been marked in the Dobrich region, with more than 2,000 already removed.
During the meeting, they also discussed the need for coordination regarding reports of power supply disruptions that could affect the operation of critical infrastructure, as well as joint actions for the timely implementation of preventive measures.
The working meetings with regional governors will continue over the coming weeks as part of ERP North's long-term policy for modernizing the power distribution network, preventive maintenance, and active partnership with state and local institutions.
