An additional emergency line has also been announced for connection to the call center 0897 00 66 01

Hurricane winds over the weekend broke more than 100 pillars in northeastern Bulgaria and caused a host of other damage to facilities. In some places, icing occurred on the overhead wires and trees as a result of wet snow and stormy wind, which led to a violation of their integrity. Even reinforced concrete and steel mesh poles of medium and low voltage were broken during the hurricane, as a result of which residents of dozens of settlements were left without electricity. EPR North teams were put to the test, working around the clock in the highly adverse weather conditions to restore power.

Currently, there are no entire villages without electricity in North-Eastern Bulgaria. At single addresses in settlements in North-Eastern Bulgaria there are still losses on the low-voltage network. EPR North teams are on the ground, working in close communication with local mayors as necessary to provide access to hard-to-reach areas in rugged areas in order to restore network integrity as quickly as possible. It is expected that the regions for which there are reports of failures will have power restored within the current day. In case there are customers with an interrupted power supply that has not been reported, please contact the round-the-clock phones 0700 359 10 and 0700 161 61 to submit information to the electricity distribution company for timely dispatch of a team. During the emergency situation, ERP North also announced another emergency contact line with the call center: 0897 00 66 01.

As an additional measure, ERP North officials carry out emergency network patrols, inspecting areas where the integrity of the facilities has been breached to restore their operational condition or to secure them. The company points out that it is still possible to have dangerous sections in places, so it urges residents to be careful when carrying out activities near power distribution facilities, to comply with safety regulations and to issue alerts in case they notice risky situations on the network.
