Specialists of ENERGO-PRO Networks installed a remotely controlled power disconnector on a medium voltage power line in the land of the village of Senokos, Balchik municipality. The installed new facility is of key importance for the security of electricity supply in the villages of Primortsi, Plachi dol, Pop Grigorovo, Bezvoditsa, Senokos, Sokolovo, Dabrava, Kremena, Hrabrovo, Zmeevo, Pryaspa, Dropla and Karvuna. The disconnector will improve the reliability of the electricity supply and pumping station Dabrava, which provides water supply to a large part of the city of Dobrich.

The strong winds and snowdrifts characteristic of the Dobrudzhan coast in winter create a risk of damage to the overhead power grid in the area. For the timely elimination of breakdowns, it is important to locate the damaged area as quickly as possible. Through the remote-controlled power disconnect, this is achieved remotely. After the place of failure is established, the disconnector makes it possible to significantly reduce the number of customers without electricity during the repair. The remaining areas attached to the outlet are powered by backup connections.

The teams of the electricity distribution company installed the more than 100-kilogram facility at a height of 13 meters. In addition to providing more reliable electricity supply to thirteen villages near Balchik, its role in segmenting the power line into sections and minimizing the area without electricity has an important application in the planned repairs that the company periodically carries out to keep the grid in good technical condition.
