The company reminds its customers who have not yet concluded a contract with an electricity supplier that the deadline for the supply of electricity under the terms of a type contract expires in June 2021

The change in the Law on Energy, promulgated in the State Gazette at the end of June 2020, provided that from October 1, 2020, all non-domestic customers, whose objects are connected to the electricity distribution network at a low voltage level, will purchase electricity for their needs at freely negotiated prices. In order to make the transition to the liberalised market as smooth as possible and to minimise the risk of business interruption due to being left without power, a grace period was set in the legislation for each non-domestic customer affected by the change. In this regard, the supply of all customers who as of October 1, 2020 had not chosen a supplier on the free market, was transferred to ENERGO-PRO Sales under a standard contract with a deadline of 30.06.2021. However, after this end date, customers who have not yet switched to a free market will automatically be transferred for supply by a Supplier of Last Instance (LPI).

In order to increase the efficiency of the liberalization process for non-domestic customers in the first months of 2020, ENERGO-PRO Sales conducted an information campaign. By publishing information on its website and sending e-mails, as well as by holding a number of meetings with mayors in the settlements, the company provided its customers with the necessary information about the change so that they could make an informed choice of electricity supplier on the free market and not have to switch to DPI after the grace period provided for in the legislation — 30 June 2021 In addition, in a special section of the company's website, details about the liberalization process are described. As a result of the proactive actions of ENERGO-PRO Sales at the end of February 2021, more than 26% of the non-domestic customers of ENERGO-PRO Sales are already supplied with electricity at freely negotiated prices.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission set up a dedicated online platform where customers who are due to switch to a free market can compare offers for electricity supply from licensed traders across the country. It is about to approve the Rules of operation of the platform, which will apply to both the participating providers and its users.

In view of the expiring deadline for supply under the conditions of a standard contract, last week ENERGO-PRO Sales again launched an information campaign aimed at customers who are still supplied with electricity by the company at prices and terms of a standard contract. The company has already started sending notification letters to all customers who have provided a contact email address. In them, the company emphasizes the fact that with the expiration of the grace period in June this year, customers who have not made their choice as a supplier on the free market will switch to procurement with the Supplier of last resort.
