3500 households and companies receive more reliable electricity after renovation of substations in the municipalities of Popovo and Aksakovo

A complete renovation of the equipment in two node stations was carried out by ENERGO-PRO Networks within the framework of the investment and repair program of the company. Lyuben Karavelovo substation supplies more than 2,000 ENERGO-PRO customers in Varna municipality of Aksakovo, and Voditsa node station supplies electricity to nearly 1,500 companies and households in Popovo municipality.

Within two months, the specialists of ENERGO-PRO Networks carried out the rehabilitation of the equipment in the two node stations. New more reliable, environmentally friendly vacuum circuit breakers were installed. New digital relay protections have been installed, the main advantage of which for the customers of the electricity distribution company is that they make it possible to limit the area of disconnection of the power supply in the event of an accident. Modern equipment has significantly more precise protective functions, which make it possible to register emergency conditions as accurately as possible and apply the most adequate measures to eliminate them. Thus, in the event of a breakdown in the electricity distribution network, thanks to modern digital protections, the number of households affected by the accident will be significantly less. In parallel with the new relay protections, a remote control and signaling system has been put into operation. It allows the monitoring of facilities and remote control in real time, which is carried out by the Network Management Center of ENERGO-PRO. The investment in the renovation of the node stations amounts to more than 70 000 BGN. The rehabilitation of the two facilities allows for better operational service, minimizes unplanned interruptions and guarantees a better quality power supply to the customers of the electricity distribution company in the area.

ENERGO-PRO Grids manages over 42,000 km of electricity distribution network in the regions of Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen.
