6.7% lower electricity consumption in Northeastern Bulgaria was reported during Earth Hour
ENERGO-PRO customers consumed 6.7% less electricity during Earth Hour. The company's data is based on a comparison of consumption an hour earlier in Northeastern Bulgaria. The initiative is held annually in March.
And this year, millions of people turned off the lights in their homes from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 25 in support of the “green idea.” The initiative was launched in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and in 2016, 178 countries took part in the Earth Day. Today, 10 years after the start of the initiative, Earth Hour is a symbol of people's responsibility to protect the environment.
ENERGO-PRO stimulates the production and trade of electricity generated in an environmentally friendly way. For the second year, the company offers its customers Green Energy Certificates, confirming the good European practices in Bulgaria. ENERGO-PRO will continue its efforts to make the use of green energy a tradition for Bulgarian business activities, as an expression of responsible attitude towards nature and conservation of its resources.
