60% of non-domestic customers of ENERGO-PRO Sales switched from 1 July to DPI

For the delivery by a Supplier of Last Instance (LPI), a written contract is required

According to a requirement in the Law on Amendment and Supplement to the Energy Act of 26.06.2020, all non-domestic customers of ENERGO-PRO Sales were to switch from 01.07.2021 to a supplier of electricity at freely negotiated prices. Nearly 40% of the company's clients made their choice and concluded individual contracts within the statutory period. From July 1, ENERGO-PRO Sales will continue to supply non-domestic customers who have not taken steps to choose a supplier on the free market, but no longer as an electricity trader, but as a supplier of last resort (DPI). In the meantime, it will be possible to choose an electricity supplier every month until the 10th, as before, with the change taking effect from the first of the following month.

The supply of electricity from DPI is carried out on the basis of a written contract at electricity prices, which are determined according to the Methodology adopted by the EWRC. Until the approval by the EWRC of the General Terms and Conditions of the contracts of DPI ENERGO-PRO Sales AD applies written contracts in relations with its customers. According to Art. 104, para. 3 of the Electricity Trading Rules, in the event that a customer does not have a contract with DPI and does not conclude one within the specified period, the supply of electricity to the customer is suspended until the conclusion of the contract and payment of all amounts due for the supply, including for temporary suspension and restoration of the supply. A contract with DPI can be concluded directly in the Customer Service Centers of the company or through the online portal https://online.energo-pro.bg/, where customers can generate the contract themselves. Then they have several options:

• To sign it with the KEP and send it to e-mail service@energo-pro.bg;
• Print it, sign it in two copies and send it to the address by post to ENERGO-PRO city. Varna
• Print it out, sign it in duplicate and take it to the Customer Service Center.

ENERGO-PRO Sales AD is the holder of a license for the supply of electricity from a supplier of last resort, which covers the administrative districts with centers Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen. DPI ensures the supply of electricity to customers on the free market who are left without a supplier for reasons beyond their control (their dealer has been revoked/removed from the market/declared bankrupt, etc.) or when the term of the customer's contract with his supplier has expired and no new supplier has been selected.
