ENERGO-PRO emergency teams restored power supply to 59 settlements
The storm that broke out late last night in different areas of North-Eastern Bulgaria caused damage to the electricity distribution network serviced by ENERGO-PRO. The most serious damage was inflicted by the element in the region of Ruse, where the strong wind, accompanied by heavy rain and hail, caused numerous accidents on the medium voltage network, as well as numerous local failures on the low-voltage facilities.
Bad weather conditions led to power outages in 59 settlements in North-Eastern Bulgaria. Most — 43, were on the territory of Roussenka region. Four villages in Gorna Oryahovitsa district, three in Targovishko and nine in Razgrad district were also left without electricity due to the worsening weather situation.
The emergency teams of the electricity distribution company worked throughout the night on September 3 to 4, with the activity of locating and eliminating the accidents continued throughout the day. The powerful thunderstorm in part of the affected areas seriously complicated the work of the ENERGO-PRO teams. Despite the harsh conditions, the company's specialists gradually eliminated the malfunctions on the network and restored the power supply to all settlements.
