Work continues today on the elimination of new breakdowns

The complicated weather situation caused numerous damage to the power distribution network of ENERGO-PRO Grids in North-East Bulgaria. Over the weekend, the company's teams restored power supply to more than 70 settlements in the regions of Ruse, Silistra, Shumen, Razgrad, Dobrich and Varna, eliminating dozens of damage to facilities from the power grid due to strong wind, snowdrifts and icing.

At 14:00 on Sunday, the power supply was restored to all settlements in North-Eastern Bulgaria. Simultaneously, the teams fixed multiple local faults on the low-voltage network. Later in the day, the situation deteriorated sharply, new failures occurred, which left about 50 other villages without electricity in the districts of Varna, Dobrich and Silistra.

Today, at 11:00am, there are a total of 46 villages without electricity, 6 of which are in Varna, 18 in Dobrich, 11 in Silistra and 11 in Shumen. The teams of ENERGO-PRO Grids work to eliminate all faults, striving to restore the electricity supply to all customers within the day. The necessary specialized equipment is mobilized. The company is ready, if necessary, to redirect teams from less affected areas to the places with the highest number of failures on the power grid.

The most common challenges teams deal with are impassable roads, fallen branches, and glaciations. In some places, they reach the emergency facilities with the assistance of the municipalities. The company maintains constant contact with Civil Protection to the district administrations and municipalities.
