After the case with the electricity bills of the Preobrazhensky Monastery commented in the media, ENERGO-PRO initiated an inspection of the electricity meter of the Monastery by the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM). It is the only state institution that is authorized to carry out checks on the health of commercial metering devices.

The results of the BIM check unequivocally indicate that the meter is in excellent technical condition. “The meter complies with the technical and metrological characteristics and meets the requirements for accuracy in measuring electrical energy,” the protocol of BIM's technical expertise states. BIM's opinion confirms that the electricity meter accurately recorded the consumed electricity and the invoices reflect the actual consumption of the Monastery.

Again, we emphasize that the electricity meter is located in the courtyard of the Monastery, in an accessible place, which allows visual access to the readings at any time.

The Transfiguration Monastery pays its bills in a way that is standard for all business customers who have a consumption greater than 360 BGN for one reporting period — two advance and one final payment. This is the reason why they receive 3 invoices in one reporting period. The monks did not contact the company for information regarding the electricity bills of the Monastery, which is why they were left with the wrong impression.

In the event that Preobrazhenski Monastery finds it difficult to pay the entire obligation, an authorized representative may apply to ENERGO-PRO for rescheduling the obligation. The company is ready to clarify and offer an individual solution to any case related to electricity consumption.
