Nearly 12,000 business customers of ERP North have updated their data on power provided
At the beginning of December 2019, the electricity distribution company serving North-East Bulgaria launched a campaign to its non-domestic customers to update the data on the provided power of objects connected to the electricity distribution network. Two months after the start of sending notification letters for the required update, nearly 12,000 business customers of ERP North have submitted their declarations for reducing, maintaining or increasing the power provided at their sites.
Effective July 1, 2020 EPR North will change the way the network access component is calculated, and the new pricing method is expected to be validated by the EWRC and come into force from the beginning of the new pricing period. The main change in the way of pricing consists in the fact that for non-domestic customers the access price will depend on the power provided and not, as now, on the quantities of electrical energy consumed in the respective place of consumption.
By changing the pricing of the network access component based on power provided and reserved for a customer, a fair distribution of access costs among business customers will be achieved. On the other hand, each of them will have the freedom to choose what capacity from the network to engage according to their individual needs. At the same time, updating the data on the provided and actually needed power will optimize the costs of maintaining the capacity of the network, which in turn will increase the quality of the supplied electrical energy.
In February, EP North will hold the second stage of the campaign to update the data on the power provided to its customers. Any customer of the electricity distribution company who has not been able to declare their provided capacity will receive a letter indicating the ways to submit the necessary information. Additional information on the procedure for increasing, decreasing or preserving the provided power customers can get by calling 0700 1 61 61, as well as at: https://www.erpsever.bg/bg/promqna-moshtnost, where all the necessary documents are posted.
