Government compensation for business customers will be reflected in invoices for the month of July

Support to non-domestic end customers due to high electricity prices continues in August 2022. Under the government program, ENERGO-PRO accounts for the aid in July bills, which non-domestic customers receive in August.

The amount of support foreseen under the Programme for the period from 1 July 2022 to 30 September 2022 for non-domestic final customers (excluding Operators) is calculated on the basis of the quantities of active electricity on which a 'duty to society' price should normally be charged for each month, excluding VAT. This amount is calculated as 100 percent of the difference between the real average monthly exchange price for basic cargo of the “day ahead” segment of “Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange” EAD (BNEB), for the corresponding month and the base price of BGN 250. /mWh.

In the case of customers with a price exceeding the base price of 250 BGN /MWh with an amount less than the amount of compensation, compensation is paid in an amount so that the price for the customer after compensation is not lower than BGN 250. /mWh. Compensation for customers with prices below the base price of 250 BGN /MWh is not provided.

The average price of a basic load of IBEB, market segment “Day ahead”, in BGN. /MWh for July 2022 is 632.27 BGN
