ENERGO-PRO teams provided more reliable electricity supply to 30 settlements for the winter
ENERGO-PRO teams in Omurtag replaced 1100 meters of wire on a twenty-kilovolt power line at the “Green Lawn” terminal of Omurtag substation. 2634 household and 169 business customers are powered from this outlet. It also serves as an emergency power supply to the “Malosten” terminal, which supplies electricity to 1850 household and 158 commercial subscribers.
The line was built in 1959 with steel wires. As a result of corrosion, they had lost their mechanical strength, and in strong winds, frequent interruptions in the power supply were obtained. A large part of the power line passes through crossed mountainous terrain and in the event of an accident, a detour must be made along the entire length of the route, which further complicates the repair actions of the specialists of ENERGO-PRO. For this reason, the replacement of this facility was included in the company's repair program.
The new conductor has a smaller mass, lower electrical resistance and better mechanical performance. The repair of the facility ensured trouble-free operation of the power line and reliable and quality electricity supply to households in winter. In parallel, a disconnector for open installation of a 20 kV power line along the “Zlosten” terminal was also replaced. Thus, more than 30 settlements in the territory of the municipality of Omurtag, including part of the city, dependent on the two outlets, are guaranteed greater security of electricity supply during the winter season.
