A resident of the village of Petrov dol, Provadia municipality, turned to a team of Elektrodistribuenie Sever, working on the electricity distribution network of the village with a signal about a stork that fell from the nest. With the help of a 12-meter autobahn, the company's specialists returned the little one to his home. Special attention was paid to the stork's nest, which had been damaged by storms in recent weeks. Energetics removed dangling branches at the base of the socket, which created a risk of ignition when in contact with the live wires.

Power grid poles are a preferred nesting site for storks, but the proximity to overhead wires endangers the safety of birds. The electricians of the company often play the role of rescuers of the feathered. Electricity Distribution North has established an operational program for the placement of platforms, which are placed in place of already built stork nests, but at a safe distance from the wires. EPR North is working with environmental companies on joint projects to secure electrical facilities and ensure peaceful residence of birds on the territory of North-East Bulgaria.
