The teams of Elektrodistribuenie North restored the electricity supply in all settlements in North-East Bulgaria

As of 16.30 on 28.01.2021 on the territory served by Elektrodistribuenie Sever, there are no settlements without electricity supply.

Strong wind and snowfall yesterday made it difficult to restore power supply in North-East Bulgaria

All emergency teams of Elektrodistribuenie North were mobilized and worked intensively to restore the electricity supply in settlements in Northeastern Bulgaria. The abrupt change in the weather situation with heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, icing of power lines and fallen trees caused a number of damage to facilities and torn wires in sections of the power distribution network.

EPR North employees worked with equipment to operate in winter conditions, but closed or difficult roads in some sections made access difficult and delayed the restoration of electricity supply. The company was in constant contact with local authorities and there was coordination in case additional assistance was needed.
