ENERGO-PRO teams reached damaged facilities after clearing part of roads in North-East Bulgaria

The rapid restoration of electricity supply to some of the settlements in North-Eastern Bulgaria is hampered by the many closed roads due to snow. At present, impassable second and third class road sections, necessary for access to places of accidents on the electricity distribution network, remain impassable in the municipalities of General Toshevo and Dobrichka in the Dobrich region, the municipality of Tetovo in the Ruse region and the municipality of Valchi dol in the district of Varna.

In the last hour the roads were cleared and the ENERGO-PRO teams gained access to Silistra district, Kubrat municipality in Razgrad district, Hitrino and Venets municipalities in Shumen district, as well as to Targovishte and Popovo municipalities in Targovishte region. The company redirected the necessary additional resource to the areas where the situation is most complicated. The emergency teams of ENERGO-PRO Grids are waiting for the clearing of other impassable road sections in order to be able to reach all the places of damage to the facilities and restore the power supply.

The emergency teams of ENERGO-PRO Networks continue to work to eliminate the damage to the electricity distribution network in North-East Bulgaria. As of 1 pm today there are about 50 settlements without electricity in the districts of Dobrich, Silistra, Ruse, Shumen, Targovishte and Varna. The teams of the electricity distribution company worked on the accidents caused by the winter storm last night.

The company's specialists work in coordination and receive the necessary assistance and assistance from the district governors, mayors, the District Road Authorities and the divisions of the Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population”, which organize cleaning of impassable roads and provide high-pass chain equipment. The priority cleaning of the road arteries necessary for access to the failed sections of the power lines is organized. The management of ENERGO-PRO Networks works in constant coordination with the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the regional and municipal headquarters for disaster protection.
