ENERGO-PRO Grids teams repair damage due to wet snow in Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Targovishte districts
Heavy snowfall last night caused numerous damage to the electricity distribution network in Northeastern Bulgaria. Broken tree branches and icing from the heavy wet snow broke numerous wires and broke insulators. About 200 settlements in the regions of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Targovishte are without electricity at 12:00 noon.
ENERGO-PRO Grids urgently mobilizes all available emergency teams to eliminate the damage. The teams are equipped with off-road equipment and are fully equipped to work in difficult winter conditions.
Due to the continuing snowfall, new breakdowns occur and power lines on which accidents have already been fixed shut down again.
As a result of the deteriorating weather conditions, regular reporting of consumed electricity in the villages of Pchelishte, Tserova Koria, Rashevtsi, Kluska reka, Villari, Sejmeni, Tseperani, Pyramid, Bijevtsi, Perovtsi, Dedina, Lazartsi, Dedintsi, Byala reka and Gorica is difficult. Kalugerovo in the territory of Veliko Tarnovo district and in the villages Boaza, Stokite, Gabene, Lovnidol, Mladen, Forest in Gabrovo region. The company has set up an organization for accountants to revisit these villages on March 12 to track meter readings.
The teams of ENERGO-PRO Networks continue to work. The company is ready, in case of aggravation of the situation, to mobilize an additional resource of qualified personnel and equipment to be directed to the areas with a large number of failures.
