ENERGO-PRO Grids teams eliminate accidents due to deteriorating weather conditions in Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Razgrad, Silistra and Targovishte districts

Strong winds, accompanied by wet snow last night and this morning, caused numerous damage to the electricity distribution network in Northeastern Bulgaria. Wires torn by the strong wind and broken branches, icing, broken insulators and fallen trees are the reason why, at 13:00 o'clock, more than 200 settlements on the territory of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Razgrad, Silistra and Targovishte regions are without power supply.

The biggest damage to the electricity distribution network was caused by the snowstorms in the regions of Gabrovo and Veliko Tarnovo.

For the rapid elimination of accidents, all emergency teams and equipment with increased patency are mobilized. Accident remediation is hampered by difficult or impossible access to facilities in many of the snowstorm-affected areas. The company is ready, if necessary, in the event that the winter situation becomes more complicated, to redirect additional teams from the less affected areas to those with a greater number of failures.
