ENERGO-PRO teams repaired the facilities of the electricity distribution network in the village of Velino, Shumen municipality

The measures taken ensured a stable electricity supply to the inhabitants of the village

Repair and prevention of the facilities of the electricity distribution network in the village of Velino was carried out by ENERGO-PRO in May. The company's teams serviced the facilities and replaced elements of their equipment. A transformer with better technical characteristics was installed in one of the substations, which can take on a larger load in accordance with the increased electricity consumption in part of the village. In addition, a partial repair of the low-voltage network and regulation of the conductance of the wires was carried out.

To ensure the necessary servitude of the wires from the overhead network, the teams cut the branches of the trees, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the wires. As the crowns of trees grow, the branches rest against the wires, in stronger winds they become entangled with them and cause accidents and energy losses. Therefore, the branches that pose a risk are cut.

“The electricity distribution network is like a living organism — in order to function, it is maintained and developed on a daily basis,” explained the manager of ENERGO-PRO Stefan Abadzhiev during a meeting with the residents of the village of Velino in March. “However, to maintain the network, it is not enough to invest only efforts in repairs and maintenance. Constant investment of funds in improvements, in the construction of new lines and substations is required. Unfortunately, the regulatory and financial framework that the state imposes on us practically deprives us of the opportunity to invest, develop the network, introduce modern technologies,” continued Mr. Abadzhiev. During the meeting, which was a joint initiative with the Ombudsman of Shumen Ivan Kapralov, the manager of the electricity company made a commitment to take measures to improve the network in the village as far as possible. After the end of the winter season, the repair work was carried out, as a result of which the electricity supply of the residents of Velino retained its stability even during the strong storms in May.

“After the repairs, the results are very good. There have been very bad weather conditions in recent days. Storms and hailstorms rocked our area, but we did not have power outages,” said Ginka Kancheva, a resident of the village.

“After the prevention and repairs carried out by the ENERGO-PRO groups, for two months now there has not been a single complaint from people. For me, the result is that I do not have to look for emergency groups, which means that the work is done qualitatively”. This is how Dimitar Dimitrov, mayor of the village of Velino, commented on the result of the activities carried out.
