Elektrodistribuenie North organizes “Open Day” in its Training Center on the occasion of the Consumer Day — March 15

On the World Consumer Day — March 15, Elektrodistribuenie Sever held an “Open Day” at the company's Training Center in the city of Elettrodistribuenie Sever. Varna. The company invited students from the Technical University and students from the Professional School of Electrical Engineering in the city to visit the specially equipped training base for future electricians on ul. Virgo 2.

During the day, several groups of students toured the classrooms at the Center, where they learned about the main facilities used in the power distribution network, visited the company's High Voltage Laboratory, and watched impressive demonstrations of volt arc and breakout insulators. The visit to the Training Center and the High Voltage Laboratory requires the observance of special safety measures and for this purpose the participants passed an introductory briefing before entering the halls with the facilities with the mandatory protective equipment. At the end of the visit, the future power engineers examined a training substation and watched a demonstration of major repair work, which required climbing of iron grate and reinforced concrete poles.

The organization of the “Open Doors Day” on the Day of the Consumer is an established tradition for Elektrodistribuenie North. The company takes the opportunity to acquaint visitors interested in electricity with the main activities in this sphere. The event is also attended by representatives of the Human Resources Directorate in the company, who inform the young people about internship programs, vacancies and future career realization in ENERGO-PRO and Elektrodistribuenie North, and answer the questions of future power engineers about the specifics of the electrical and electrical engineering professions.

Interest in such visits is demonstrated above all by students in technical universities and vocational high schools in the territory served by Elektrodistribuenie Sever. The next visit organized by the company to a site of the electricity distribution network for educational purposes is for students at the Technical University - Ruse at Substation Center in the city in April.
