ENERGO-PRO Energy Services supplies 100% green energy to Eco-complex “Sherba”
The complex is the first tourist site in Bulgaria to have a green energy certificate
ENERGO-PRO Energy Services has awarded a certificate for electricity produced from renewable sources to the eco-complex “Sherba”. Since May 1, 2016, the tourist complex has been purchasing 100% green energy, thereby contributing to environmental protection and stimulating environmental production.
“It is especially important for us to develop tourist activity in harmony with nature. The eco-complex is located in the heart of a deciduous forest, famous for its rich flora and fauna. The products we use, from food to consumables, are environmentally friendly. Purchasing electricity produced using environmentally friendly technology is the most natural continuation of our green business policy,” said Desislava Penova, Executive Director of Sherba Eco-Complex.
The green energy certificates of ENERGO-PRO Energy Services are based on the Guarantees of Origin issued by the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development. Each green energy certificate has a unique number, a certain period of validity and is kept in a public register, which is freely accessible and is located on the website of ENERGO-PRO Energy Services.
“The green energy market is gaining momentum in Bulgaria. Business interest in electricity produced in an environmentally friendly way is increasing, especially in the field of tourism. We are pleased to award a certificate for 100% delivered green energy to Eco-complex “Sherba”. The consumption of ecological energy is an expression of a responsible attitude towards nature and this makes it a tourist site distinguished in its industry,” said Plamen Stefanov, Manager of ENERGO-PRO Energy Services.
ENERGO-PRO Energy Services is the only commercial company in Bulgaria that enables its customers to certify that the electrical energy purchased by them is produced from renewable sources. In this year Kaufland Bulgaria became the first holder of a Green Energy Certificate, proving the ecological origin of the electricity supplied to the commercial chain.
