ENERGO-PRO Energy Services registers the first successful transaction in the “Intraday” market segment of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange

After the start of the intraday electricity trading by the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange on April 11, 2018, ENERGO-PRO Energy Services was the first company to register a transaction on this new energy market. This is the most short-term market segment of the IBRD, in which traders can conclude transactions for the supply of electricity for a specific hour within the same day. Until now, electricity transactions could be concluded with a delivery period of at least one day ahead. By actively participating in the new market segment, ENERGO-PRO Energy Services, as one of the leading suppliers of electric energy, adds new opportunities for the members of its balancing group, with which they can optimize their balancing energy costs.

Transactions through the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange in the “Intraday” segment will be published on the platform immediately after their conclusion, and participants will be able to see the submitted bids from all bids. The new IBRD system enables the successful inclusion of Bulgaria in the market unification of the European markets. It should make the market sufficiently transparent with the possibility of daily analysis by the participants and create a precondition for full liberalisation of electricity trade.
