ENERGO-PRO Energy Services received an award from IBEB for the best trader in the market segment “Day ahead”

The Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (INEB) awarded ENERGO-PRO Energy Services for its contribution to the development of the energy market. The award received is for the trader with the highest trading volumes in the “Day Forward” market segment in 2020. The award was presented to the company at an online event organized on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the first real trading session in this segment. The event was attended by Zecho Stankov — Deputy Minister of Energy, Plamen Mladenovski — Director of the Electricity and Heat Energy Directorate at CEFR, and Julian Popov — Advisor to the European Climate Foundation. Konstantin Konstantinov, Executive Director of IBEB, used the occasion to thank the participants for the fruitful cooperation. “We are moving forward and developing the stock market segments in the interest of both manufacturers and end users, as we all are,” Mr. Konstantinov said in his address.
The traded volumes of ENERGO-PRO Energy Services (EPREU) in the “Day Forward” segment are more than 2 300 000 MWh, of which more than 600 000 MWh of green energy from renewable energy sources (RES) and energy from high-efficiency combined generation (HPP). The company serves more than 27,000 customers in the free electricity market and is one of the largest coordinators of balancing groups of RES and RES. “The launch of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange 5 years ago played a huge role in the development of the liberalized market in the country and changed the daily life of the trading participants. An expression of the good work on the “Day Ahead” market are also Bulgarian energy futures, which in the short time since the start of their trading enjoy higher liquidity compared to a number of European markets. We accept the award as recognition of the efforts of the entire team of the company and support our aspiration to offer more and more innovative products to attract more and more customers in the liberalized market. Thank you!”, said Plamen Stefanov, Executive Director of ENERGO-PRO Energy Services at the reception of the award.
