ENERGO-PRO and VIK-Shumen signed an addition to the agreement on rescheduling the debt of the water supply company
The new rescheduling scheme is in line with the possibilities for repayment of the obligations of Shumen Plumbing
Today, 25 March 2014, ENERGO-PRO and VIK-Shumen signed an addendum to the September 2013 agreement, which rescheduled the old obligations for consumed electricity of the water supply company. The reason for the signed addition is the fact that since the end of last year, Shumen Water Supply started to delay the payments of current liabilities, as a result of which the debt began to grow and to date, has reached nearly BGN 1.3 million.
The host of today's meeting, which took place in the building of the Shumen Regional Administration, was the regional governor Ventsislav Venkov. In the presence of the Mayor of Shumen Krasimir Kostov and the Ombudsman Ivan Kapralov, the Governors of ENERGO-PRO, Stefan Abadzhiev and Shumen Water Supply, Svetlozar Damyanov signed an addendum to the rescheduling agreement, with which the water supply company undertakes to meet obligations from February to costumes until August 2014
The parameters of the rescheduling scheme are discussed and agreed in advance between the representatives of the two companies.
The manager Stefan Abadzhiev once again explained that after the three-fold reduction in electricity prices last year, ENERGO-PRO Sales is placed in a situation where it cannot bear the financial burden of the delay in payments to Shumen Plumbing. Therefore, a new violation of the payment schedule would force the company to limit the power supply to the company's sites in order to prevent the increase in debt.
“We were faced with difficult decisions, but in dialogue with the management of Shumen Water Supply and with the assistance of the regional governor and the mayor of Shumen, we reached an agreement on a new scheme of repayment of old debts. I hope that with the active support of the residents of Shumen, the water supply company will stabilize and fulfill its financial commitment to ENERGO-PRO,” said Stefan Abadzhiev. The Manager of ENERGO-PRO thanked the Regional Governor Ventsislav Venkov and the Mayor Krasimir Kostov for the support and personal commitment to solving this issue so important for the residents of Shumen district.
