ENERGO-PRO invests nearly 1 million leva in the project for a new center in Varna

By the end of April, the electricity distribution network in the pedestrian zone will be completely renovated

Just a few months before the start of the active tourist season, Varna Municipality launched a project to renovate the overall appearance of the central urban part, which will pass in several stages. The management of ENERGO-PRO decided to get involved in the project for a new center of the maritime capital and completely replace the underground electricity distribution network in the area. The decision was made after a series of meetings of the company's management with the mayor of Varna, Ivan Portnich and after serious preparation, in interaction with the municipal administration. The estimated investment of the company is approximately BGN 1 million.

The renovation of the pedestrian zone is carried out according to the preliminary plan of the Municipality and consists of four stages ranging from the Drama Theater “Stoyan Bachvarov” to the hotel “Cherno More” and Blvd. Slivnitsa” in the section of pl.” World” to Blvd.” Maria Luisa”. Within the framework of the project, a new pipe network with cable shafts will be built, part of the existing low-voltage cable lines in the central city will be replaced, and new ones will be built where necessary. The company planned to replace all cable distribution cassettes and meter boards of customers in the area with new ones. The implementation of the project started on March 25 of this year and for a month the part of the electricity distribution network falling into stage II of the municipal project will be completely reconstructed and modernized. The investment for the second stage is worth over BGN 200,000.

“We were faced with a difficult decision given the extremely limited financial framework in which we currently operate. The value of the investment is not at all small, especially since these funds were not provided for in our investment program. I am glad that we managed to find a solution and, despite the volume of the financial burden, to get involved in the project of Varna Municipality. The planned activities for the replacement and construction of the electricity distribution network will lead to brief interruptions in the power supply of customers falling into the area of the second stage of the project. In the period 01.04 — 30.04.2014, temporary disruptions and power outages are expected for customers living in the area: from pl.” Varna” to the intersection of ul.” Mikhail Koloni”, ul.” Voden” and Blvd.” Knyaz Boris I”, including in itself ul.” Dragoman”, ul.” Sheinovo”, ul.” Musala”, ul.” Knyaz Alexander Batemberg”, ul.” Ivan Vazov” and part of ul. “Watery”.
