ENERGO-PRO carries out rehabilitation of the electricity distribution network in Tarnovsko worth 320 000 leva

Elektrodistribuenie Sever (old name ENERGO-PRO Grids) modernizes and renovates the electricity distribution network on the territory of Veliko Tarnovo region. The activities are part of the investment program of the company for 2017-2018, and the planned funds are about 320 thousand leva.

The investment made so far worth 80 thousand leva included replacement of oil circuit breakers with vacuum ones in node stations “Western Industrial Zone,” “Base School” and “Sushitsa”. The electricity distribution company invested another 17 000 leva in the replacement of transformers in Veliko Tarnovo and Dluga Laka substations. The upgraded equipment will reduce technological losses on the network in the area powered by the two substations and reduce the risk of accidents.

Electricity Distribution North has also launched a project worth over 220 thousand leva for rehabilitation and renovation of Gorna Oryahovitsa Zapad substation. It is planned to replace old medium-voltage oil circuit breakers with new vacuum ones, install new digital relay protections of power lines and power transformers in the substation, and others.

The installation of new high-tech equipment in these substations and nodes will increase the security of electricity supply to 15,000 customers of the electricity distribution company in the two largest cities in the region — Veliko Tarnovo and Gorna Oryahovitsa.

The planned investments by the electricity distribution company in renovation and modernization of the network on the territory of Veliko Tarnovo region in 2018 will exceed BGN 6 million.
