ENERGO-PRO installs platforms to save stork nests in the village of Kozarevets, V. Tarnovsko

Employees of ENERGO-PRO Grids undertook a rescue operation to secure the nests of two stork families in the village of Kozarevets, Veliko Tarnovo region.

Due to disturbances registered in May this year on the power line that supplies the village, ENERGO-PRO teams conducted a survey, in which it was found that the cause of the interruptions was the construction of nests of stork pairs on two of the poles of the power line.

Often, young pairs of storks build their nests on the poles of the power distribution network. It is not uncommon for birds to touch the wires and cause a short circuit with a fatal end for them. This also often becomes the reason for the occurrence of accidents and interruptions in the power supply to the subscribers of the company.

In order to avoid the risk of protected birds falling under voltage, as well as to prevent disruptions in the supply of customers, the company installs platforms on which young stork pairs can safely build their nests and raise their families.
