ENERGO-PRO installs the latest generation transformer worth 1.2 million leva in Veliko Tarnovo
The facility will provide more reliable and secure power supply to 32 thousand residents of the city
A new transformer of the latest generation will provide electricity to part of the city of Veliko Tarnovo. The modern 85-ton facility was manufactured in 2012 by SGB Smith International GmbH — Germany and will be installed at the Veliko Tarnovo substation at ul. ” Dimitar Rashev” №13.
The old transformer in the substation is technically and morally obsolete. Keeping it in working order requires effort and creates too many costs, making it ineffective. The new power transformer has significantly better technical characteristics — it has a nominal power of 40/50 MVA (megavoltampere), has a much more efficient mode of operation, is able to take a significantly higher load.
The installation of the modern facility is essential for the development of the electricity distribution network in the city. It will improve the quality and security of electricity supply to about 32 thousand customers in the central urban area, zone B and zone B, district “Buzludzha” and part of the neighborhoods “Cholakovtsi” and “Kolyo Ficheto”. Its commissioning will create conditions for the development of the medium voltage network and allow the accession of new users.
The investment in the modern facility is worth BGN 1.2 million. “ENERGO-PRO Networks strives to continuously renew and develop the electricity distribution network on the territory of North-East Bulgaria. Two other transformers of the same class were delivered and installed in recent weeks at substations in Varna. Investments in modern technologies are the only way to meet the expectations for quality and reliability of the service we provide to our customers,” said Martin Mirchev, member of the Management Board of ENERGO-PRO Networks AD.
