ENERGO-PRO Networks submitted developed standardized load profiles to the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation
Standardized load profiles will enable small businesses and households to purchase electricity on the free market
ENERGO-PRO Networks has developed standardized load profiles that will enable small businesses and households to purchase electricity on the market at freely negotiated prices. The profiles have been submitted to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC).
The opportunities to purchase electricity on the market at freely burned prices are regulated in the Electricity Trading Rules (EETS). The PTEE provides that consumers, for whom there is no regulatory requirement for hourly measurement of electricity consumed, can participate in the free market by means of a standardised load profile. It represents a series of coefficients that shows the hourly distribution of active electrical energy consumption for a type of object over a given period of time.
ENERGO-PRO Networks has developed 7 profiles — 2 for domestic customers, 4 for business users and 1 for street lighting. The profiles were created after a thorough analysis of the electricity consumption of those groups of customers who will benefit from them. They are tailored to the specifics of consumption in different types of settlements - for example, in larger settlements customers use mainly electric energy for heating, while in smaller settlements the use of solid fuels predominates. The proportion of consumption in the night hours is also an essential factor that has been taken into account in the development of the profiles.
The introduction of standardized load profiles does not affect the formation of electricity bills. Customers' invoices will reflect their actual consumption and will be formed depending on the individual conditions and prices in their electricity supply contracts with the relevant dealer. In the free market, only the price of electricity can be negotiated, and the prices for network services and for obligations to society are set by the EBRD.
ENERGO-PRO Networks AD publishes the standardized load profiles developed for the calendar year 2016 on its website: http://www.energo-pro-grid.bg/bg/standartizirani-tovarovi-profili. The company will wait for the opinion of the EWRC within the stipulated period of one month and upon receipt of instructions, they will be reflected. ENERGO-PRO Networks AD will announce the date from which the implementation of the standardized load profiles will start.
