ENERGO-PRO Networks replaced facilities at Leventa substation in Ruse
ENERGO-PRO Grids gradually replaces facilities in substations and node stations, which have a major role in the electricity distribution network.
In the past week, technical specialists of the electricity distribution company replaced the control cables of the so-called Jansen regulators of the transformers at the Leventa substation in the city of Ruse.
Jansen regulators are one of the most complex high-voltage devices and serve to automatically smoothly regulate the level of voltage that passes along the power lines from substations to substations. Their control is carried out by electronic devices, called automatic voltage regulators, on control cables. On the same bundle of control cables, through telemechanics, dispatchers monitor the condition of the Jansen regulators and their proper functioning.
The function of the substation is to receive, convert and distribute electrical energy. Different types of power plants generate high-voltage electrical energy, which is carried over an electrical network and enters the substations. They, in turn, convert the energy from high to medium voltage, after which it is transferred along power lines to the transformer substations.
With the replacement of equipment at Leventa substation, a higher security of electricity supply is guaranteed to nearly 32 thousand households and enterprises in the area of the city of Ruse.
