ENERGO-PRO renovated power line between two substations in Balchik and Dobrich
ENERGO-PRO Networks continues to prepare the electricity distribution network in Northeastern Bulgaria for operation in winter conditions. The company's specialists renovated a 2000-meter section of the “Sokolovo” outlet, which connects the Balchik substation and the Nona substation - the city of Dobrich.
The overhead line is part of the power line ring between the two substations. As an interconnection, it plays an important role for the normal functioning of the network, as well as for the security of electricity supply to households and businesses in the area.
To renovate the power line, the company's technical teams installed new wires. Much of the pillars were replaced and the rest strengthened. The insulation of the facilities has also been completely replaced.
In harsh winter conditions, the Northeast region is subject to strong winds and snowdrifts, which create the prerequisites for the occurrence of accidents. The construction and maintenance of interconnections between substations is very important, as they provide alternative power supply to customers in the event of damage to the main power lines.
The rehabilitation of the Sokolovo outlet guarantees reliable power supply to the villages of Senokos, Sokolovo, Dabrava, Kremena, Hrabrovo, Zmeevo, Pryaspa, Dropla and Karvuna, as well as to the Dabrava pumping station, which provides water supply to a large part of the town of Dobrich.
ENERGO-PRO Networks maintains and serves 42,492 km of high, medium and low voltage power distribution network in a licensed territory of 30,000 sq. km, which covers 9 administrative districts in North-East Bulgaria - Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen.
