ENERGO-PRO discussed with the regional governors of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Dobrich the progress in the campaign for making props

The management of ENERGO-PRO held workshops with the regional governors of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Dobrich, during which they presented the investments made so far, as well as the plans for sustainable development of the electricity distribution network. By the end of the year, investments in the three areas will exceed BGN 17 million, which is 1/3 of the total annual investment program of ERP North.
The main focus of the meetings was the preparation for the autumn-winter season through the campaign for cleaning and maintenance of the drafts under the overhead power lines. The company focused on the progress in this direction, presenting information on the activities carried out so far and the specialized equipment and human resources used. During the meetings, ENERGO-PRO stressed that it has modern machines (3 mulchers and a bulldozer) for maintenance of tillers and a sufficient number of teams, which allows significantly speeding up the preparation of sieves in critical areas.
With the support of the Regional Forest Directorates in Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Dobrich, the process of marking and removing vegetation located near power lines and creating a risk of accidents and fires in adverse weather conditions continues. To date, more than 49,000 trees have been marked on the license territory of “Elektrodistribuenie Sever”, posing a danger to the normal operation of the electricity system.
A total of 9735 non-easement dangerous trees have been marked for Veliko Tarnovo region, 8018 trees for Gabrovo region and 4290 trees for Dobrich region. All hazardous trees outside of power line easements need to be removed from the respective forest holdings after securing (if necessary) the relevant overhead power lines from the ERP North by the start of the 2025-2026 winter season. The process has already started in all three areas with the assistance of the responsible institutions.
Within the framework of the meetings, the possibility of even more active cooperation between the company, the local government and forestry, including in emergency situations, was discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the need to update the legal framework related to easement zones in order to ensure the safety and reliability of electricity supply in forested areas.
The participants of the meeting expressed readiness for even faster implementation of activities in risk areas and stressed the commitment to annual implementation of preventive measures to ensure the security of settlements and prevent crisis situations
