ENERGO-PRO provided funding to ARTON Bulgaria Foundation for conducting art therapies for children with cancer

The financial support is within the framework of the “ENERGO-PRO for society” initiative

The noble cause of the ARTON Foundation is another project that received funds for implementation from the initiative in support of local communities “ENERGO-PRO for society”. The provided funding is used to carry out and provide for the needs of a hospital program in the Clinic of Pediatric Oncohematology at the University Hospital “St. Georgi” — Plovdiv. Nearly 30 children between the ages of 4 and 18 attend the weekly art therapy sessions every month and thus receive their dose of joy, inspiration, faith. With the support of ENERGO-PRO, the Arton Foundation team has the opportunity to provide a variety and quantity of quality and attractive art materials and supplies, so necessary for children's sessions.

ARTON Bulgaria Foundation has been implementing the country's first hospital art therapy program for children with oncological diseases for many years. In the conditions of long and difficult hospital treatment, the team of art therapists and oncopsychologists conducts creative sessions for children patients, because they believe that art treatment is the lightest, bringing joy and inspiration. Art therapy is entertainment, but also emotional recovery, it helps the little characters cope with the sadness, fatigue and fear that arise during the fight against the insidious disease. With the assistance of a smiling art therapist, children receive a colorful selection of crafting options with a variety of materials for, decorating, engraving and others, and in musical activities each child only chooses his musical instrument and together in the group plays the tact etudes, and all the children sing and laugh, rhythmically in sync under conducting of an experienced music therapist.

“Art therapies provide children with peace of mind, shared experiences with their companions in destiny and allow them to immerse themselves in another reality far from the hospital. In times of economic and health crises, the assistance of ENERGO-PRO gives security and resilience to the work aimed at the emotional recovery of the greatest little characters. We are glad that we have become part of their noble initiative and thanks to their financial support we help children to walk more confidently on their way forward and fill their hearts with faith,” said Svetlana Chivganova, Executive Director of the Arton Foundation.

“ENERGO-PRO for Society” is a long-term initiative of the company, confirming its commitment to sustainable development and the well-being of communities in Bulgaria. Since its launch in September last year, several projects in different directions and institutions throughout the country have received funding and implemented their innovative and distinctive projects. It is the long-term effect and the introduction of new practices to change public attitudes that are among the main criteria when evaluating the applicant projects.
