ENERGO-PRO prepared the facilities of the electricity distribution network for operation in winter

ENERGO-PRO Networks prepared the electricity distribution facilities in North-East Bulgaria for operation in winter conditions. Service and repair works, surveys, inspections and inspections of substations, substations, substations, cable lines and overhead power lines owned by the company were carried out on the territory of Varna, Shumen, Dobrich, Targovishte, Silistra, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Ruse and Razgrad districts.

ENERGO-PRO teams visited the entire power distribution network of the company, inspecting 7316 km of power lines, inspecting all the company's substations, servicing and repairing nearly 7000 substations. In preparation for the winter season, 38 tons of technical oil, necessary for the trouble-free operation of transformer equipment, 12,017 insulators and 974 medium and low voltage poles were replaced. During the summer and autumn period, 2136 km of overhead lines were cleared of vegetation. 819 km. low-voltage networks were reconstructed, and the more resistant to adverse weather conditions twisted insulated wire was installed.

As of 30.09.2017, the electricity distribution company spent funds on repair works in the amount of BGN 5,142 million and additionally invested BGN 15,400 million in order to increase the security of electricity supply to consumers and prevent accidents.

ENERGO-PRO Networks AD will welcome the winter period with 382 prepared and equipped teams of the company, directly engaged in maintaining the network in the required technical condition. Another 58 employees of the company are on duty to locate and eliminate faults in the substations of ENERGO-PRO. In case of crisis situations and urgent emergency restoration works on the electricity distribution network, the teams and equipment are operationally regrouped and redirected to the affected areas.

The vehicle fleet of ENERGO-PRO Grids has been brought into full readiness for operation in winter conditions. It includes 618 specialized vehicles, 410 of which are off-road SUVs to repair damage to facilities in hard-to-reach areas. Separately, the teams have 317 passenger cars.
