The administrative building of the electricity distribution company - Varna Towers and the arch at the entrance of the Sea Garden were illuminated in purple light as a sign of sympathy

On November 16, 2013, an event was held in Varna on the occasion of the celebration of World Prematurity Day. Initiator and organizer is the Foundation “Our Premature Children” together with the Karin Dom Foundation. ENERGO-PRO expressed its support for the noble cause by assisting in the organization of the event and initiating the lighting of its administrative building in the typical purple light for the celebration of this day.

The aim of the initiative is to raise the awareness of people about the problems of prematurity in Bulgaria and to draw public attention to them.

The celebration of this important day began with a discussion on the topic “Premature baby - from the difficult beginning to a happy childhood”, which was held in the hotel Odessos with the participation of health professionals, specialists from the “Early Intervention” Program of Karin Dom, psychologists, breastfeeding consultants, as well as future and current parents. All of them united around the thesis that more and more people are facing the problem of premature birth and such initiatives aimed at more publicity and awareness of the public on the subject are extremely important and necessary.

After the discussion, the event was transferred to the open air, where in the presence of all the guests, one of the traditional symbols of Varna - the arch in front of the entrance to the Sea Garden, heated in purple light, and 100 balloons flew into the sky. As a sign of sympathy for the thousands of families facing this problem, another building, emblematic for Varna, which welcomes and sends all guests to the sea capital, was lit in purple light on Saturday evening. Varna Towers - the building that houses the offices of ENERGO-PRO in Varna, also lit up purple with the kind assistance of the owners.

“We are glad that we were able to join efforts and together contribute to the celebration of World Prematurity Day in Varna. Unfortunately, in Bulgaria the public is still not as familiar with the problems of premature children and the challenges they and their families face. Therefore, the promotion of this topic for the purpose of greater awareness and empathy is becoming a mission of more and more people and organizations, among which is our company.” said during the event Mrs. Anelia Gorgorova, Director of Human Resources at ENERGO-PRO.
