The competition was hosted by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University - Varna

National High School Competition “Energy and Us” gathered in Varna students from the vocational high schools of electrical engineering and electronics (PGEE) from Plovdiv, Burgas, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Stara Zagora, Ruse, Dryanovo, Cherven Bryag, Kozloduy, Sevlievo, Dimitrovgrad, Gabrovo Ruse, Yambol, Varna and other cities in the country. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University - Varna welcomed 70 participants who presented their projects in the form of presentations or models of electrical installations of industrial and domestic buildings.

In addition to financially supporting the holding of the event, the electricity distribution company ENERGO-PRO Grids was also represented in the jury, which professionally evaluated the participants' projects.

“It is with great pleasure that we support and participate in the national competition “Energy and Us”. Such forums not only provide opportunities for creative expression of students, but also form their professional orientation already during secondary education. We are convinced that among them there are talented future energy professionals who will choose to work in Bulgaria. In their face we see our future electricians and electrical engineers,” Rumen Lalev, member of the Management Board of ENERGO-PRO Networks, shared during the event.

Representatives of the power distribution company congratulated all the racing teams and their technical managers for the efforts and awarded the most creative among them with a special award.

The ENERGO-PRO award for the most innovative project was given by Rumen Lalev to Dimitar Gugov and Martin Ivanov from PGEE - Burgas, and for the most creative idea — to their classmate Martin Mihalev. Graduates of PGEE - Plovdiv Zahari Lyubomirov, Georgi Dimitrov and Nonka Ivanova took the ENERGO-PRO award for the most promising project.

“We are waiting for you among us” were the final words with which Mr. Lalev addressed all participants in the competition.
