ENERGO-PRO supported the holding of the secondary school competition “Energy and us” at Technical University Varna

The eighth national high school competition “Energy and us 2024" on the theme: “Technology for sustainable energy transition” was held at Technical University-Varna.
The event was funded by ENERGO-PRO as part of the company's social initiative.
The competition lasted throughout the day, and the evaluation was carried out by a jury of professors from TU-Varna and representatives of the partner companies, including ERP North in the person of Ruslan Radev, Director of RMS.
The committees of the 5 sections, consisting of two representatives of TU-Varna and two of the sponsoring companies, determined the winners in both categories — models and presentations of student projects. The first places were occupied by the following participants and their projects:
- Model with the theme of the development “Joint work of photovoltaic and wind generator”, Nikolay Vassilev Shishkov, 12th grade, PGITMT - gr. Panagyurishte.
- Mockup with the theme of the development “Green HES”, Mürsel Yuseinova Kadyrova, 10th grade, PGMET “Gen. Ivan Bachvarov”, gr. Sevlievo.
- Presentation with the topic of the development “Use of frequency controllers Lenze, Danfoss, Omron and three-phase analyzer RTU401 in teaching and laboratory practice classes”, Mariyan Dinkov Valchanov, 11th grade, and Martin Plamenov Stoyanov, 12th grade, PGET “G. VILLAGE. Rakovski”, gr. Stara Zagora.
- Presentation with the topic of the development “Development of a project solution for a site “Construction of a photovoltaic power plant located on the roof of a building of PGET “G.S. Rakovski “gr. Stara Zagora”, Mariyan Dinkov Valchanov - 11th grade, Magdalena Kristianova Naskova - 12th grade, PGET “G.S. Rakovski”, gr. Stara Zagora.
- Presentation with the topic of the development “Energy Navigator”, Vasil Georgiev Mitev, 9th grade, Vocational High School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Bulgaria. Plovdiv.
Additional prizes were given to the youngest participants from the 5th grade (Nikolay Georgiev Alexandrov — Sofia University “Stoyan Zaimov, Gr. Pleven) and 7th grade (Nikolay Stoyanov Todorov, Primary School “Yordan Yovkov”, city. Varna, and Denislav Simeonov, Primary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, gr. Gabrovo) from Vestas Bulgaria.
The managers of the most projects (5 pieces) — Eng. D. Vodenicharov (PGET “G. VILLAGE. Rakovski”, gr. Stara Zagora) and Veniz Yordanova (PGKMX “Acad. Blagovest Sendov”, gr. Varna) were awarded with awards from EP North.
All finalists were congratulated by Bogdana Radeva, Ph.D. expert at RUO-Varna and associate professor, Ph.D. Eng. Julian Rangelov, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at TU-Varna and were encouraged with awards and certificates for participation.
The twelfth graders who took part in the ranking in each category received a special certificate recognized for admission to TU-Varna in the engineering specialties of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University for the next academic year 2024/2025.
In the large-scale forum this year, organized by the University, Varna Municipality and the Regional Directorate of Education — Varna, 85 students — finalists, with 31 teachers — leaders of teams from 21 schools from 16 cities in the country participated.
