ENERGO-PRO supported the creation of a bas-relief of Tsar Simeon I in the school of the same name in Varna

A few days ago, a bas-relief of King Simeon I was inaugurated with a solemn ceremony in the Primary School “Tsar Simeon” in Varna in honor of 1,160 years of his birth, under the patronage and with the blessing of Metropolitan John of Varna and Veliko Preslav. Part of the funds were provided by the company under the initiative “ENERGO-PRO for society”. The school team, the School Board of Trustees and the Public Council wholeheartedly support the patriotic initiative to create a dedicated place in the school for tribute to the Bulgarian historical memory. The consecration of the bas-relief was carried out by the President of the Cathedral Church “Assumption of the Mother of God” His High Reverence the butler Stefan Nikolov and His Reverend the priest Lyubomir Georgiev.

The sculpture recreates the popular painting of the Bulgarian artist Prof. Dimitar Gyudzhenov. The imposing figure of the king is 2.20 meters high and is located between columns connected by an arch and reminiscent of the stone plastic decorations from the Golden Church in Preslav. It is the work of the Varna sculptor Assoc. Nikolay Ninov.
