The water supply company continues to be the largest debtor among ENERGO-PRO customers

ENERGO-PRO sent a letter of notice in which it informed the Shumen Water Supply System that it is proceeding to a phased restriction of the electricity supply to objects of the water supply company in order to limit the increase in debt, which to date is over 630 thousand leva.

After consultations with the manager of Shumen Svetlozar Damyanov, as a result of the efforts of the two companies to find a way out of the situation, ENERGO-PRO and Shumen Plumbing agreed on a schedule for deferred payment of the accumulated electricity obligations of the water supply company.

The new agreement, which is due to be concluded within days, will be the third in a row in the last 12 months. The management of Shumen Plumbing made every effort to cover the contributions under the previous two agreements of September 2013 and March 2014 for rescheduling old debts, but the water supply company failed to meet its current obligations, as a result of which the expected repayment of the debt was not achieved.

“We have always treated the plumbing companies with special attention, so as not to create inconvenience to the people who use their services every day. But ENERGO-PRO is not able to bear the financial burden of debts in such a volume. The inability of Shumen Plumbing to cover its electricity costs on time and in full is a systemic problem that has not been solved for years. “, said Stefan Abadzhiev, manager of ENERGO PRO.

In order to limit the increase in debt, earlier in the year the electricity supply company cut off the electricity supply to 23 Shumen water supply facilities, which are not connected to the population's water supply.

The manager of the water supply company Svetlozar Damyanov expressed confidence that if the economic conditions for operation of Shumen Water Supply System do not deteriorate, by the end of February 2015 the delay in payment of electricity bills will be overcome.

“It is extremely important for ENERGO-PRO Sales that Shumen Water Supply strictly complies with the repayment plan to the new agreement and to maintain a regular rhythm of payment of obligations. We sincerely hope that we will not again find ourselves in a situation that will force us to introduce ever greater restrictions on the electricity supply of Shumen water supply facilities. We have repeatedly informed the district governor, the mayor, the municipal council, the ombudsman and the public about the situation. Unlike previous years, today our company is in a financial situation of survival after four consecutive reductions in its revenues by DCEFR. The notice of limitation of the electricity supply that we sent to the Shumen Water Supply System shows how few options for action we have in the current situation. “, added the manager of the electricity company.

The goal of ENERGO-PRO Sales is, despite the circumstances, to guarantee the security of electricity supply for the benefit of people living and working in North-East Bulgaria.
