ENERGO-PRO Sales AD informs its non-domestic customers with individual letters about the liberalization of the electricity market from October 1, 2020.
In connection with the liberalization of the electricity market from 01.10.2020, which covers all non-domestic customers connected at low voltage level, ENERGO-PRO Sales AD sent personal letters to consumers, in accordance with the legal requirement of § 15, para. 1 of the Transitional and Final Provisions of the Law on Amendment and Supplement to the Energy Act (ZIA) DZE). The letter of address to the customers affected by the change is also published on the company's website and explains in detail the stages of the process and the deadlines in which it is necessary to take steps to select a supplier of electricity at freely negotiated prices.
As of 01.10.2020, if the change of electricity supplier for the customer's object with one on the free market has not been realized, it will be officially supplied by ENERGO-PRO Sales AD within 30.06.2021, but already in its capacity as a trader on the free market, according to a standard contract and under conditions approved by the Energy Commission for water and water regulation. In this case, the client will be additionally notified in what period it is necessary to conclude the contract. This type contract will be valid during the grace period until 30.06.2021, after this date, customers who have not chosen an electricity supplier on the free market will switch to a provider of last resort.
An important condition for entering the free market is correct customer data. Updating them is possible in the Customer Service Centers. Another requirement is the absence of obligations to the current provider. To facilitate the process of communication with the company, customers can request a contact email through the portal https://update.energo-pro.bg/or on the company's email service@energo-pro.bgwith a request signed with a qualified electronic signature.
In 2013, again, by virtue of legal obligations, business users joined at medium voltage level were brought to the free market. After the current change in the Law on Energy after 01.10.2020, only domestic customers of electricity supply companies in Bulgaria will remain on the regulated electricity market. Their phased exit to the electricity market at freely negotiated prices is expected to occur in the next few years.
