ENERGO-PRO Sales AD will provide notification in the event of increased electricity quantities purchased to cover residential consumption

Effective from October 1, 2026, ENERGO-PRO Sales AD will publish information at https://www.energo-pro.bg/bitovi-klienti/danni-za-uvelicheno-potreblenie-na-bitawhenever there is an increase in the quantities of electricity purchased to supply residential customers. This information will be published in compliance with a mandatory written order issued to the company by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) following an audit regarding high electricity bills in December 2025 and January 2026. According to the EWRC's reasoning, to ensure the possibility of preventive oversight by the regulatory authority, it is necessary for ENERGO-PRO Sales AD to publish on its website and notify the EWRC monthly – in the middle and at the end of each month – if the quantities purchased for supplying end residential customers exceed the quantities purchased during the same period of the previous month by more than 20%. ENERGO-PRO Sales AD purchases electricity solely on the organized exchange market. The company prepares daily forecast schedules for the quantities of electricity required to cover its customers' consumption. These are based on information regarding currently measured consumption, as well as measured and forecasted meteorological data. These schedules form the basis for electricity purchases made on the organized exchange market.
