The model contract model was approved by the EBRD and will apply during the nine-month transition period from 1 October 2020 to 30 June 2021, which the legislator has foreseen to facilitate business customers in the transition from a regulated to a free market. The supply of electricity to customers until their exit to the free market will be assumed during the transition period by their current supplier in its capacity as a trader on the electricity market at freely negotiated prices, with a possible change in the billing dates of these customers.
