ENERGO-PRO continues to report electricity meters on schedule despite severe winter conditions in North-East Bulgaria
In individual areas, accountants find it difficult to reach the addresses of their clients
As a result of strong winds, heavy snowfall and icing, the situation in North-East Bulgaria in the last twenty-four hours has become significantly complicated. In a large part of the areas of the territory served by ENERGO-PRO, a code “yellow” is declared for potentially dangerous weather phenomena. A state of emergency has been declared in some municipalities. The snowfall is expected to continue with blizzards and gusts. Due to the gusty wind, icicles and reduced visibility, the roads are difficult to pass, and individual sections of the road are closed to traffic.
As a result of the element, accidents occurred throughout the territory serviced by ENERGO-PRO Networks, the number of which was significant in the areas most affected by the natural phenomena, served by the company — Silistrenska, Shumenska, Varna and Dobrichka, as well as in some of the mountainous areas. The company mobilizes for emergency repair of the damaged facilities and energy infrastructure all available resources in the territory of the 9 areas served by the company in order to most effectively eliminate the occurring accidents. Special efforts and resources were directed to areas with difficult conditions and difficult to pass areas. Since the beginning of the crisis development of the situation in North-East Bulgaria, more than 400 teams of electricians, equipped with more than 250 specialized off-road vehicles and trucks, have been involved in the elimination of accidents.
Despite the severe winter situation, more than 300 ENERGO-PRO accountants continue the monthly campaign on the report of electricity consumed by customers. They strive to reach every address on schedule to report the electricity meter data on schedule, but accumulated drifts and strong winds in some regions, and in some places - icing and fallen trees, seriously hamper access and slow down their work. In individual cases, due to difficult passability and closed roads, access to customer addresses is still impossible. Areas and places without access in recent days were in the most remote mountainous areas, in some parts of Silistren and Shumen regions and in separate settlements in Varna and Dobrichka regions, some of which are not accessible at this time. Accounting for electricity in inaccessible or hard-to-reach will be delayed until the patency of roads is restored and the situation is normalized. Immediately after cleaning the roads in inaccessible areas and settlements, work on the meter report will continue at an accelerated pace.
ENERGO-PRO apologizes to its customers whose addresses the company's report employees could not reach in time and hopes for understanding.
