ENERGO-PRO starts 2020 with an active dialogue with the local authorities in North-East Bulgaria

The Governors of ENERGO-PRO Varna Angel Angelov, Angela Toneva and Georgi Korshiya met with the Mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov and discussed topical issues of the joint work of the electricity distribution company with the municipal administration. The meeting presented the implementation of the investment program for Ruse region, which amounts to nearly BGN 6 million for 2019. The funds were invested in the construction and rehabilitation of facilities from the electricity infrastructure, as well as the installation of modern means of commercial metering. Only on the territory of Ruse municipality investments exceed BGN 2 million.

In 2019, the final stage of the project for the construction of a new node station East Ruse was completed. Major facilities have been replaced in Leventa, Prista, Ruse Center and Ruse North substations. Moderate voltage power lines connecting the substations on the territory of the municipality have been renovated, air and low-voltage cable lines have been renewed. The equipment of the Gara Byala node station has been modernized and telemechanics has been built, which allows remote control of the facility and significantly shortens the response time in the event of accidents. The measures taken ensure more reliable electricity supply to households and businesses in the area and create conditions for the connection of new customers to the electricity distribution network.

The managers of ENERGO-PRO Varna introduced the mayor of Ruse to the main points in the investment program for 2020, emphasizing the preservation of the level of investments. The readiness for work in winter conditions, the preliminary activities carried out, as well as the purchased specialized equipment worth BGN 1,178,000 were presented. Among the topics discussed was the upcoming introduction of an access price for business customers from July 1, 2020. Information materials were provided on the change when calculating and paying an access price.

“The purpose of our meetings with mayors is to present the priorities of ENERGO-PRO for 2020 - improving the operation of the electricity distribution network, increasing the quality of electricity supply and reducing technological costs. We insist on effective dialogue with the local authorities and we hope that in this way we will achieve a good interaction that will be at the service of the customers”, commented Angel Angelov, Chairman of the Management Board of ENERGO-PRO Varna.

The meetings of the managers of ENERGO-PRO Varna with the mayors in North-East Bulgaria are in support of the company's policy of fruitful cooperation with the local authorities. Their goal is both to optimize the operation of the electricity distribution network and to partner with educational institutions, improve customer service, present project opportunities in energy efficiency and other areas of mutual interest.

The next meeting is with the mayor of Silistra, Julian Naydenov. The reported investments of ENERGO-PRO for Silistra region for 2019 are nearly BGN 1 200 000.
